First, confirm it's actually the app and not the network
Open a different player β GSE Smart IPTV, IBO Player, or even a phone browser β on the same device and network, and play the same channel. If it's smooth there and stutters specifically in Smarters Pro, the problem is inside the app's own settings, not your connection or Marinios's servers.
This is worth doing before touching any setting, because it decides everything else in this guide. If the second player stutters too, you're looking at a network or server issue, not an app one β the general buffering-fix guide covers that case instead.
Check the playback quality setting first
In Smarters Pro, go to Settings β Player Settings and look for a video quality or resolution option. On automatic, the app tries to match the source stream's full resolution, which can exceed what an older or budget device can decode smoothly even on a strong connection.
Manually cap it at 1080p, or even 720p on genuinely underpowered hardware, and test again. This single change resolves a large share of app-specific buffering on sticks and boxes more than a couple of years old.
Increase the buffer size setting
Smarters Pro has a buffering or cache-size setting, usually under Settings β Player Settings or a dedicated Buffering menu depending on the app version. A small buffer means the app has almost nowhere to absorb a brief network dip before playback visibly stalls.
Raising it trades a slightly longer channel-change delay for smoother playback during short network hiccups β worth the tradeoff on most connections, and especially on Wi-Fi rather than Ethernet.
Clear the app's cache
A long-running session accumulates cached guide data and thumbnails that can slow the app down generally, including how quickly it recovers from a stall. On Android and Fire TV, this is in the device's own app settings β Settings β Applications β IPTV Smarters Pro β Clear Cache β rather than inside the app itself.
Clearing cache is different from clearing app data: cache only removes temporary files and won't sign you out or remove your saved login, so it's safe to do without needing your credentials again afterward.
Restart the app fully, not just background it
Backgrounding an app and reopening it doesn't reset its internal player state the way fully closing it does. On most streaming devices, hold the home button or use the recent-apps view to force-close Smarters Pro completely, then relaunch it fresh.
This matters most after the app has been running for hours β a long session is exactly when internal buffering state is most likely to have degraded, and a clean restart resets it at no cost beyond the few seconds it takes to reopen.
If it's still buffering after all five checks
At this point you've ruled out the app's own settings, so revisit the isolation test from the top of this guide: try a different player on the same device, and try the same channel on a phone over cellular data. Either points the problem back toward your network or the provider's servers rather than Smarters Pro itself.
The general buffering-fix guide walks through diagnosing network and peak-hour causes in detail β that's the next stop if these five settings didn't resolve it.
